3, 2, 1, Go
“3, 2, 1, Go” is a concise, pert exploration of exercise, routine, and disruption. Inspired by mandated morning exercises for Chinese students, outdoor gatherings of practicing 太极 (tai-chi, a Chinese Martial Art), and our personal parents’ and grandparents’ stretching rituals, this work examines and re-imagines stereotypes of Asianness and “working out.”
